Dr. Ashwin Dalal, an eminent Medical Geneticist, completed his MD in Pediatrics from Goa Medical College and DM in Medical Genetics from SGPGIMS, Lucknow. He heads the Diagnostics Division at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad, leading advanced genetic diagnostic and counseling services. Formerly instrumental in establishing the Department of Medical Genetics at NIMS, Hyderabad, he also serves as Adjunct Visiting Professor at KMC, Manipal. With over 178 research publications and key advisory roles for DBT, ICMR, and DST, Dr. Dalal’s contributions have significantly advanced medical genetics in India and globally.
