Professor John Chambers is Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of PRECISE, the central entity established to implement Phase II and Phase III of Singapore’s National Precision Medicine strategy. He is also Director for Population and Global Health at the Lee Long Chian School of Medicine, Singapore.
Prof Chambers leads the PRECISE-SG100K population cohort study, comprising 100,000 Asian people living in Singapore. The comprehensive phenotyping, genomic and molecular profiling, and health record linkage provide a unique opportunity to drive for Population Health and Precision Medicine in the Asian context.
Prof Chambers’ personal research program focuses on identification of mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease and diabetes in global populations, coupled with translational research to improve prevention and control of these major diseases.
