Margaret Starostik is a postdoctoral fellow in Rajiv McCoy’s lab at Johns Hopkins University (USA). Her research interests focus on genome function, particularly the regulation of gene expression. She received her PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression by small RNAs. Her current research uses Kinnex long-read RNA sequencing of individuals from the 1000 Genomes cohort to investigate the distribution and genetic basis of mRNA isoform diversity.
