Evan Udine earned his Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2025 and is a currently postdoctoral fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. His research focuses on leveraging high‑throughput, innovative sequencing technologies to investigate ALS, FTD, and related neurodegenerative diseases. At Mayo Clinic, his work centers on applying long-read sequencing to investigate the C9orf72 repeat expansion, enabling the characterization of previously unresolvable features at the DNA level and the assessment of its impact on C9orf72 transcripts and the broader transcriptome at the RNA level.
