Simone Rubinacci is a statistical and computational geneticist and Group Leader at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM), University of Helsinki. He leads the Computational and Statistical Genomics Lab, developing methods for large-scale haplotyping, and imputation of biobank-scale sequencing data. His work spans structural variation, rare variant analysis, and the integration of short- and long-read genomics, with applications in population genetics, disease association, and pharmacogenomics. Simone collaborates extensively with international biobanks and research consortia and is actively involved in method development, open-source software, and training the next generation of computational geneticists.
