Abdul is the Founding Scientist and Head of Product at Volta Labs, where he leads efforts to revolutionize sequencing sample preparation through the company's innovative platform, Callisto. He has been instrumental in developing applications for Volta's cutting-edge technology, which leverages electric, magnetic, and acoustic fields to manipulate droplets. Additionally, he plays a key role in shaping the company's product development, applications, and commercial strategy.

Prior to joining Volta, Abdul spearheaded the development of Ultivue’s InsituPlex technology, enabling advanced tumor sample profiling. He holds both a BTech and MTech in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology. He later earned a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where his research focused on self-assembling DNA circuit interconnects with applications in nanofabrication and self-organizing biological systems.
