Dr Gouil leads the Health and Epigenomics Across Life (HEAL) laboratory at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute. His team integrates computational and molecular approaches to deepen our understanding of genome function and advance the field of genomic-informed personalised medicine. A focus of the lab is to use long-read technologies to gain better insights into the behaviour of nucleic acids in the cells, from X chromosome inactivation and genomic imprinting to isoform-specific expression and epitranscriptomics.
