Dr. Eberle has been in the biotech industry for almost 19 years spending the last 3 years serving as the Vice President of Computational Biology at PacBio. A major focus of his career has been to develop accurate and comprehensive variant calling and annotation with an emphasis on the difficult parts of the genome. To achieve this goal he collaborates with many academic and clinical groups to benchmark and study complex variants like tandem repeats and segmental duplications. Dr. Eberle received his PhD in Solid Earth Geophysics under the mentorship of Dr. Donald Forsyth at Brown University in Providence, RI.
