Speaker Bio
Shigehiro Kuraku leads the shark and ray genome analysis consortium SQUALOMIX based in Japan. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular evolution and evolutionary developmental biology from Kyoto University and began his faculty career at the University of Konstanz, Germany, before overseeing the Omics and Informatics Facility at RIKEN. Since 2021, he has been a professor at the National Institute of Genetics (NIG) in Mishima, Japan.
