Hagar is a clinical genetic analyst with over 10 years of experience in molecular genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics in both clinical and academic settings. As the head of NGS analysis at the genetic department of Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center, Hagar gained expertise in utilizing various NGS methodologies for diagnosing rare diseases, analyzing thousands of clinical exome and genome sequencing tests, and establishing the largest genomic database in Israel. Additionally, Hagar has authored approximately 50 high-quality academic papers.

Hagar holds an MSc in genetic counseling and a Ph.D. in human genetics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Medicine. In 2022, Hagar was appointed as a Senior Lecturer of the Practice at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Medicine. In the past 3.5 years Hagar is Geneyx's chief product officer.
