Micheál Ó Dálaigh is a final-year bioinformatics PhD student in the Szegezdi and Ó Broin labs at the University of Galway, Ireland. He is part of the Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Genomics Data Science. His research looks at acute myeloid leukaemia at a single-cell level using both short and long-read RNA sequencing technologies to gain insights into the evolution of the malignant cell population over the course of the disease.
