Ronny Derks is an experienced laboratory technician working for the past 15 years at the department of Human Genetics of the Radboudumc. His main focus is implementation of new (sequencing) technologies and workflows for diagnostic testing within the Genome Diagnostics Core Facility. He was involved with the successful lab implementation of the following fully automated high throughput workflows:
- WES
- WGS
- Amplicon sequencing
- Long Read Amplicon sequencing
- Single-molecule Molecular Inversion probes (panel sequencing)

For the last two years he has been mainly involved in the development of Long Read Whole Genome Sequencing.
