Transformative Drug Research and Development via
Accurate and Scalable Long-Read Sequencing Services
Advancements in sequencing technologies and applications have resulted in a renaissance period over the last 10 years, making genome-scale analysis routine and accessible not only for disease-specific investigations, but to support studies across cohorts and populations. The cumulative data generation has revealed a simplification of the reference human genome in terms of the number of genes originally estimated, but also unraveled a more complex genomic architecture and organization.
Using technologies that capture sequences as long, continuous reads to interrogate the genome has been recognized as a mechanism to resolve many complexities in DNA and RNA samples. For biopharmaceutical companies, the use of long-read sequencing has been hampered by deficits in scalability and throughput. However, the introduction of the PacBio Sequel II System with highly accurate long reads, known as HiFi reads, enable Sanger-quality accuracy. In conjunction with HudsonAlpha Discovery’s optimized protocols and processes, high-throughput capabilities, and rapid turnaround time, scalability is achieved to address the unmet needs of biopharmaceutical and academic studies.
This presentation will demonstrate the advantages of HudsonAlpha Discovery’s specialized sequencing services for PacBio HiFi reads to advance research for clinical, translational, and other projects spanning a range of diseases.
